Regardless of the working pressure ratings, Taper-Lok© connections have one seal ring per nominal pipe diameter, and therefore substantially reduce the necessary inventory requirements of multiple rated spare seal rings and gaskets.  This simplicity of design translates into a direct dollar savings.  Replacing four ANSI seals that cannot match the strength of a Taper-Lok© when added together.  As a result, there is less space needed to store one Taper-Lok© reusable seal in inventory as opposed to four ANSI counterparts, as seen in the example that follows.
